The RCMP have arrested two suspects in the death of Taylor van Diest in Armstrong last Halloween in Armstrong, B.C., a family member told CBC News. Police have not yet publicly confirmed the arrest, but they have called a news conference Thursday afternoon in Armstrong to provide an update on the homicide of van Diest. The 18-year-old woman was attacked on Oct. 31 while she was walking down some railway tracks to a friend's place in Armstrong, about 70 kilometres north of Kelowna. She was later found by friends but died in hospital. A composite sketch of a suspect was released by police last November after they used DNA to connect van Diest's death to a sexual assault against an escort in Kelowna in 2005.
