The city of Vernon is getting ready to launch its expanded transit service. Spokesperson Courtenay Pitcher says the new transit exchange on 31st Avenue by Cenotaph Park, will be opened this Friday. "The transit exchange will be a new hub that all bus routes will flow through. There will be six bus shelters at the new downtown exchange. The new bus service begins Saturday April 29th." And that new service includes more evening bus service, and on the Canada Day and Remembrance Day holidays.
