A fire in Enderby has caused severe damage to the old Greyhound building at 704 Cliff Avenue. RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says they received a request for traffic control from the Enderby Fire Department just before 2:00 a.m. Sunday. "Smoke was billowing out of the front of the building and the entire second level of the building was engulfed when police and fire crews arrived," says Molendyk.  Crews were forced to battle the blaze through the night and the remains of the structure were still smouldering after sunrise. "The building was believed to have been vacant at the time, but it would occasionally be occupied by squatters, however they're not 100 per-cent sure." Molendyk added the owner of the building has been contacted and RCMP investigators along with the fire department, will do more follow up today to determine the cause.
