Library workers in the Okanagan have voted 96 per cent in favour of a strike. The 150 members of CUPE say negotiations are at a standstill and they're frustrated the employer isn't willing to negotiate issues like wage increases and benefits. Cupe 1123 president Rose Jurkic says they have fallen behind what library workers doing the same type of work elsewhere, are getting. No immediate job action is planned and Jurkic hopes both sides can return to the table. The workers are employed at 16 branches in the Okanagan.

How far behind will they become when they are out of work and replaced by E-Books and other Tech advances in the the future?
Civil servants had better start appreciating their wages, job security and pensions. The public is getting fed up with all their demands.
