Vernon Fire Job Filled

Written by Peter McIntyre 107.5 KISSFM Friday, 06 July 2012 16:19
There was no shortage of candidates for a job opening at Vernon Fire Rescue.  Chief Keith Green says they had close to 150 applications to fill a firefighter position.  Green says it's extremely tough to rise to the top of a recruitment competition, saying it takes hundreds of hours of training, dedication and and certification to be successful. Former Vernon volunteer member Jodie Bradley was the successful applicant. A city news release says Bradley is originally from the Ottawa area, and was with the Banff Fire Department for just over four years before his family moved to Vernon.
