Vernon council has agreed to release more information about decisions made behind closed doors--at least sometimes. Councillor Bob Spiers led a motion to have vote results of in-camera decisions released, if council approves it. "I'm sure that most votes will be released. More votes than naught are unanimous so there's no reason not to release them." However, Mayor Rob Sawatzky says it may not produce much change. "All that is is an option. It doesn't say that council will ever release the vote. It's just an option." The motion got unanimous support. In-camera matters deal with land, legal and labour issues.
