Vernon Teacher Wins National Award - Fulton teacher recognized for entrepreneurship


A Vernon teacher is one of 94  across the country to receive the 2012 Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence. The Awards were presented at a ceremony in Ottawa,  just ahead of World Teachers' Day tomorrow. Fulton Secondary teacher, Terry Downton was recognized for entrepreneurship for grades 9 to 12.  His program for budding entrepreneurs involves local partnerships and gets the students out into real world, where they can make their businesses start working.
