DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)

GVAC To Discuss Sports Complex Cost
Written by Glen Morrison 107.5 KISSFM Tuesday, 27 November 2012 16:13
Local politicians will gather Wednesday, trying to nail down costs for the proposed sports facility referendum and how many items are on the ballot. Coldstream mayor Jim Garlick says the special meeting of the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee will be carefully looking at the cost factor. "What we would like to do is put forward a referendum that we feel has a chance at success. My own feeling right now is that I don't think the majority of the public would support that," Garlick tells Kiss FM. Garlick says they want to make sure the site is secured and is adequate for users at a reasonable price. "That the lease agreement that we signed with the college, that all of the requirements are met, and we also offer the opportunity for that facility to grow." Garlick says they'll also be looking at how many items might be on the April 6th ballot, with the art gallery and museum requesting to also be included.

Will the GVAC also consider what the cost of having a similar facility on the original track in Polson Park.
Polson Park would certainly more accessible to the majority of Vernon's population.
