Local politicians need more information before deciding if arts and culture facilities could be on the same referendum as a proposed sports complex. The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee will get a staff report on the costs and timelines of including a new Public Art Gallery and museum on the same ballot as one for a track and field facility next to Okanagan College next April. The Art Gallery is seeking 7 million dollars for a new facility on city owned land next to Centotaph Park. Museum officials have also asked to be on the same vote, with a venue costing up to 10 million. There will also be discussions about a combined facility for the two projects.
