The focus for road crews in Vernon's now on residential and side streets. Works manager James Rice says they always tackle main streets and bus routes first. He says with that out of the way "We'll be working into the residential areas for the rest of the day and hopefully have those completed by this evening." Rice has a request, drivers should give the ploughs a wide berth, and no passing on side streets. As far as spending, he says the 2012 year saw them over budget by about 10 thousand dollars on the 570 thousand allotted,
