Lumby will be taking on an early Remembrance Day project. Mayor Kevin Acton says the Village cenotaph, the monument to the war dead, is falling apart, rocks dropping out, plaques falling down, cracks in the structure and the ground around isn't safe to walk on. He says with Councilor Nick Hodge and Administrator Tom Kadla spearheading the effort, there'll be a fundraiser started.
Acton says "We're really pushing hard to get the cenotaph fixed in time for November."
