Greater Vernon's master water plan is moving ahead. Regional
District of North Okanagan directors approved the master water plan
Wednesday, meeting an Interior Health Authority deadline to have a
document submitted by Friday. "This has been a lot of work," said Patrick Nicol, board chairperson. RDNO will now wait to see if the health authority approves the document. The
preferred option calls for partial separation for irrigation and
domestic uses, with treatment at the Duteau Creek and Mission Hill
plants. Total capital costs would be about $111 million between 2013 and
2037. Look for more details in Friday's Morning Star.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
