The accounting has been done on how much we pay our MLA's. The latest numbers from the legislature show Vernon Monashee member Eric Foster made $58,157 in wages from April 1st to September 30th this year plus 7 thousand for being government whip. As well he claimed $21,261 in what's listed as travel expenses. That category also includes his accommodation while living in Victoria and just under 6 thousand in actual travel costs. Christy Clark was paid a total just over 80 thousand dollars in salary and claimed $16,800 in travel expenses. That's likely to go up as she's now West Kelowna's MLA. NDP leader Adrian Dix was paid $67,394 and claimed $16,800 in expenses. And the new Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo was paid $43,799 plus claimed $15,464 in expenses.
