Construction is well underway on the new Predator Ridge fire hall. It'll be Station #3, Predator Ridge, managed by Vernon Fire Rescue and will become part of the current deployment system. Two bays at the station will house an engine and a water tender, and the building will have a training room, kitchen facilities and a hose tower. Visitors and residents at Predator Ridge will see the construction underway on the south side of the entrance road. "VFRS will review paid-per-call tier assignments and roster requirements, in conjunction with the annual fall recruit," says a release from Tanya Laing Gahr, communications coordinator for the City of Vernon. Completion of the 600-thousand dollar station is expected around the end of October.
