BX Firehall Project Moves Ahead

Plans for a 1.5 million dollar expansion of the BX Swan Lake Firehall won't be derailed by the public. An alternative approval process by the Regional District of North Okanagan for the loan bylaw had just three people officially state their opposition to the plan. The process needed ten percent of the 4,625 qualified electors -- or 462 opponents -- to fail. The bylaw will next go to the RDNO board for adoption at their January 7th meeting.
