RCMP in Kamloops, B.C., are searching for a suspect after a police officer was shot early this morning. Police say when the officer stopped a vehicle around 2:45 a.m. PT Wednesday at Bachelor Drive and North River Drive, there was an exchange of gunfire and the officer was hit. The officer was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and is undergoing surgery. Police are looking for a 1998 white Chrysler Intrepid with B.C. license plate AF7 65A attached to it at the time. They warn that the car's occupants should be considered armed and dangerous.
