City issues report

Vernonites have a chance to find out more about the finances of the city. The City of Vernon will hold a public input meeting Monday focused on the annual financial report. During the session, residents will have a chance to provide input to council and administration on the document. The financial report includes the annual consolidated financial statements including a summary of financial results, a listing of tax exempt properties, the annual report on the remuneration of council, the annual report on municipal services and operations, the statement of management responsibilities and the schedule of severance agreements. It also has a schedule of employee remuneration more than $75,000 and the listing of payments to suppliers in excess of $25,000. For anyone interested in looking at the report, it is available at city hall or at www.vernon.ca.
The public input session Monday will be held as part of the regular open council meeting, which starts at 1:30 p.m. at city hall.
