A new date has been set for the Spallumcheen by-election. August 26 is when residents will go to the polls to vote in new three new council members.Mayor Will Hansma says the voting system will be a bit different due to the unique situation.Hansma tells Kiss FM, 'What the minister has ordered is that we can run the two by-electionsconcurrently. We'll either have a split ballot or two ballots on election day.'A by-election was originally announced for late July for Murray Blackwell and Dave Brew's council positions.That date had to be postponed with the resignation of councillor Terry Frame last week.Spallumcheen is the first BC municipality to have a councillor resign going into a by-election.(Jessica Samule July 6 - 10am)
