Vernon RCMP have a male in custody after a lengthy chase of a suspect in the second robbery at the Bank of Nova Scotia on 27th St and 48th at around 10:55AM Wednesday. A lone male entered the bank and demanded cash he fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The male was chased by a security guard that was in the bank. The male was seen getting into a vehicle and leaving the area of the Village Green Mall. The suspect ended up in the area of Wal-Mart, a short time later a male matching the description was seen from the area on foot. The suspect male was arrested with out incident at the rear of the City of Vernon Works yard where he was surrounded by police officers. At the time of this report the Vernon police are continuing to work on all of the robberies, and it is far too soon to say if the two robberies at the bank of Nova Scotia are connected.
