It’s official: Former U.S. president Bill Clinton will speak at Prospera Place in November. The two-term president has included Kelowna in his tour of smaller Canadian cities, which started in London, Ont. last year. He also plans to visit Victoria. The theme of the speaking tour is Canadian-American relations. “They’re very important in B.C., especially with softwood lumber. We thought Kelowna and Victoria would be a perfect fit,” said Christian Darbyshire, a Toronto-based organizer of the tour. “He has been to Vancouver in the past. We’re trying to take him to speak before people he’s never spoken to before.”The Nov. 10 event, sponsored by CIBC Wood Gundy, is open to the public. Tickets are $75, or $175 for seats on the floor and near the stage.
