The City of Vernon is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lorne Holowachuk to the position of Transportation Specialist, effective October 11 2006. This position will enable Lorne to develop the City of Vernon’s transportation plan and policy, support the
development of the Official Community Plan, Growth Management Strategy, Transit Plan and provide transportation engineering expertise. Lorne brings to the City more than 30 years of transportation expertise which he looks forward to applying in consultation with the community and to the external agencies.Formally Manager of Planning, Development and Engineering Services, this effective succession plan allows Lorne the opportunity to dedicate his expertise to Strategic Transportation Planning in conjunction with the recently announced Official Community Plan update.
