Power Outage may have a Vernon cause?

Most Okanagan residents went without a Saturday morning paper this morning, and a power outage in Kelowna could be to blame. Fortis BC says the power outage happened just after 5:30 Friday night. Okanagan Valley Newspaper Group CEO Alison Yersilcimen says it could be linked to causing power surge at their printing press later that night which caused major damage to their equipment. . Yersilcimen says unfortunately they weren't able to get it going and outsourced the printing to Kamloops...but the papers are on their way. 25 hundred people in the downtown and Mission areas were affected by the 2 hour power outage in Kelowna after power lines went down.
