Your Tax Money at work !

Capital Local Project Costs. Sun FM
The Campbell government announced that for any projects requiring over $20 (M) million dollars in funding, in order to protect taxpayers from rising costs and delays, they must explore a private public partnership. Okanagan-Vernon MLA Tom Christensen said they will explore this avenue for projects where funding is not approved, like the expansion of Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the $30 (M) million dollar Duteau Creek water treatment plant. Christensen says an agreement with a private company removes the competitive bid process, which saves (M) millions of dollars. Partnership BC has the expertise to determine when and if it's the right funding avenue and the best use tax dollars.
