MLA Recall Fuelled by Liquor Store Closure

An M-L-A recall campaign may be launched in the B-C Interior in a case of sour grapes over the closure of a government liquor store. A Kelowna citizens group says two Liberals -- Sindi Hawkins and Al Horning -- could be targeted. A spokesman says the M-L-A's gave no support to the campaign to save the Gordon Drive liquor store. The group would have to sign up 40 per cent of the voters in each riding within a 30-day period to force byelections.
