We finally made it.

The City of Vernon paid $780,000 for the Bennett Parking Lot in January 2001 when the assessment was $642,000 . (Prior to Vernon Land Corps.)

Last year the assessment totaled $759,600 and for the first time since the purchase the assessment passed the original purchase price in July 2006 and now stands at $827,400.

Discounting the small improvements on the lot ($24,900) this works out to $26.75 per Sq. Ft. for the 30,000 sq. ft. parking area.
