The Okanagan Regional Library board says they can provide up to 9 million in funding for Vernon's new library. Board Executive Lesley Dieno says, that's the maximum amount they can provide. She says the next step is to negotiate a partnership agreement with Vernon, adding it's now up to the City of Vernon to figure out how much it can put towards the new civic building The new building is expected to cost anywhere between 18 and 28 million dollars.
