The agency that helps low income and women in poverty was in danger of closing last year due to a lack of funding, but administrative coordinator Anne Forrest says the prospects have improved. 'The community has donated a fair amount of money and we've been solicited by other agencies and other foundations to put in grant applications for specific grants and I'm pretty encouraged by that.'
