Stephane Dion is coming to Vernon - April 15 
The Okanagan Shuswap Federal Liberal Association will hold a reception for the leader on Sunday April 15th at the Performing Arts Centre from 12-2pm.This event is open to the public, everyone is welcome, bring family and friends.

Born and raised in Vernon, I left the city in 1984 to pursue my studies, work abroad and travel different parts of the world. 
I returned home in 2003, and in 2005, established a nursery business on the family farm, specializing in dry-land and native plants. First elected to Vernon City Council in 2005, I have worked to rebuild the lines of communication between the public, staff and council. I am excited to see our progress towards a long-range plan that integrates the economic, environmental and social issues identified by the community.My diverse work experience in scientific consulting, education, research, forestry, agriculture, tourism, and overseas development work has provided me with the skills and determination to be a strong, effective and hard-working representative for the riding.In December 2006 I watched as Stéphane Dion was elected as Leader of the Liberal Party, and was very impressed by his economically competitive, socially just and environmentally sustainable plan for Canada. I pledge that from the day I become the Liberal candidate for Okanagan-Shuswap until the day of the election, I will go out into the community to promote the values of the Liberal Party of Canada. As the next Liberal MP from Okanagan-Shuswap, I will put all my energy into providing this riding with the representation it deserves.
