Vernon RCMP warning about a scam. Police responded to a complaint yesterday where a couple were going door to door soliciting for funds for the .
Corporal Henry Proce says they contacted the BC Federation of Foster Parents and they confirmed no fund raising activities are ongoing at this time in Vernon or anywhere else.
The couple is described as follows: a 20-30 years oldman, dark complexion, spoke with a jamaican accent. And a woman in her early 20's, with a dark complexion, long dark hair, carrying a clip board.
Proce says you should always request identification when solicited for funds for any cause.
