Kelowna's mayor is back from her trip to Holland. Sharon Shepherd, along with 15 others, have been visiting Veendam, which is Kelowna's European sister city. Shepherd says they attended a memorial service and helped celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of Holland from the Nazi's in World War One. Shepherd also met with Veendam's mayor to discuss municipal issues like infrastructure and the environment.

Don Quixote Note: Last time an Okanagan Mayor came back from Holland we ended up with a $650,000 roundabout/ speedbump.
