The Central Okanagan's Bus Rapid Transit System will receive an $11 million shot in the arm Thursday. Federal and provincial government officials along with representatives from the Union of BC Municipalities and the City of Kelowna will be on hand for the announcement at UBC-Okanagan. The BRT will increase transit service from the Queensway terminal to UBCO. The $11 million is part of the money the feds are making available to the provinces through the Gas Tax Funding Program. The Bus Rapid Transit System will result in faster times and shorter trips between the downtown terminal and UBCO. Local media will have an opportunity to travel the new route prior to the funding announcement.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
