Peace Rally Arrest

Betty Selin, Standard Radio News http://www.vernon.thesun.net/node/566895
The Peace and Awareness Rally in Vernon's Polson Park yesterday didn't end peacefully. According to organizers, bylaw officers called a tow truck over a parking violation and there was a confrontation with the driver and two key people involved in the rally. They claim the local organizer, Jack Elliman, was assaulted by a tow truck driver and RCMP officers pepper sprayed the Freedom Tour Organizer, Neil Magnusson. No charges were laid, but both men were taken into custody and released after ten minutes.
