Police are recommending unspecified charges against two organizers of a peace rally held in Polson Park last month. Neil Magnuson was pepper sprayed and arrested by police after Jack Elliman was arrested after Elliman refused to move his illegally parked car August 6-th. 'I won't say what they are but we have forwarded charges against each of them to Crown Council, as of (Monday) in fact. Its now on the desk of Vernon Crown Council to make a decision as to whether of not those charges are approved.' As for why its taken so long, Corporal Henry Proce says police reports to Crown normally take 3 to 6 weeks to prepare. Magnuson has said he felt the police over-reacted, and he was talking to a lawyer.
