Another Vernon home has been declared uninhabitable due to drug use. Early Friday morning, Vernon RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on the 2000 block of 33rd Street. RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk, says several people were found in the home. “All the people inside the house were arrested on scene and charges of possession for purpose of trafficking are being considered against at least one of them,” says Molendyk. He says the house has been posted under Vernon’s drug bylaw, meaning it can’t be lived in until its inspected. “This is the 17th house to be subject to the drug bylaw this year.” A quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia were also seized from the home.
