Airport manager recognized for leadership

Top honours have taken flight for a City of Vernon employee.Grahame Go, airport manager, has been recognized by the B.C. Aviation Council for outstanding leadership in the development of a community airport.“I was quite shocked but it’s really rewarding that the council has recognized me. It’s a real honour,” said Go.The chairman of the city’s airport advisory committee is pleased to see Go receiving such a prestigious honour.“For Vernon to get an award like this is fabulous,” said Doug MacAulay.“It’s a validation of all the hard work that’s been done at the airport in the last three years.”Go will officially receive his award during a ceremony in Vancouver Nov. 26.
