A steering committee will be set up at this weeks NORD meeting to look into how to get public feedback on the way the Okanagan is governed. North Okanagan Regional District chair Jerry Oglow says, they want people to let them know what is working and what isn't working."We'll be looking for suggestions and ideas from people, and not only from politicians but from the general public. We're looking to hear from the business community, the investment community, from anyone who has an interest in how the region is governed." The BC Government wants the public consultation sessions finished by March next year. Premier Gordon Campbell says, the status quo of the current governance model will not be accepted.
