Just ten days before Christmas, Coldstream residents will be voting in a referendum. Rather than the proposed date, council voted to hold the vote December 15th. Residents will decide if they support council sending an application to the Agricultural Land Commission for the non-farm use of land for sports fields. Several hundred people signed a petition asking council to allow the referendum regarding the property at Highway 6 and Aberdeen being used as a sports complex.
