B.C. golfers miss Q-school cut

By Brad Ziemer, Vancouver Sun : Saturday, November 17, 2007

A final round of one-over 73 proved to be two shots too many for North Vancouver's Bryn Parry, who today failed to advance to the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying school. Parry, who was competing at a second-stage site near Phoenix, finished the 72-hole event at seven-under par. It took a score of nine-under or better to finish among the top 20 and advance to the Q school finals Nov. 28-Dec. 3 in Winter Garden. Fla.Vernon's Chris Baryla came even closer than Parry to advancing. Baryla missed by just one shot at another second-stage site in Beaumont, Calif. Baryla's final round of 72 today left him at six-under par and tied for 21st.
