Installing security cameras in public places in Vernon wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing according to the spokesperson for the Vernon and District Taxpayers Association.Tony Stamboulieh says, they aren't necessarily opposed to giving police another tool to use. But he says there should be more consultation with the public before putting in security cameras. Stamboulieh says ours is a civil society and the needs of the police should be balanced with the needs of society. He says it is however a big enough issue that should have public consultation.
