The committee looking into the Okanagan's governance options, will be growing in size. Community Service Minister Ida Chong has approved adding the mayors of Kelowna and Penticton to the committee that will increase to 12 members.The North Okanagan Regional District will appoint a fourth representative as Vernon mayor Wayne Lippert is already a member. The committee meets again on November 29-th.

Don Quixote Note: Looks like meeting has been rescheduled from original Nov. 26 date to Nov.29 and this will allow our Mayor Lippert to attend the Vernon Council meetings on Nov.26.
Let us hope that that the new NORD representative is a RESIDENT of Vernon so the largest city can have representation from a residential taxpayer.
