Greater Vernon politicians are meeting behind closed doors Friday to try and settle their differences.14 council members and the electoral reps from Areas B and C are talking about the future of Greater Vernon Services at the Prestige Inn. NORD chairman Jerry Oglow told KISS FM prior to the meeting, a mediator is being used to keep the discussions moving. "I've spoken to the mediator and to the stakeholders and I'm cautiously optimistic we will find some common ground on issues that are important to Greater Vernon."Area B director Cliff Kanester was not as optimistic about a resolution heading in, saying the current structure is a dictatorship controlled by Vernon and Coldstream.Water, parks and recreation, and economic development are the key issues.
