The Art Gallery is on board to be a part of the library civic complex
according to Vernon's mayor.Wayne Lippert says, the gallery is supporting the project after mis communications about the size of the space were cleared up. Council has given three readings to the borrowing bylaw which would allow the city to borrow up to 30-million dollars. The referendum in January would be final approval if it passes. Lippert says, the amount they need to borrow has gone up because the library board may borrow 9-million dollars through the city because Vernon would get a better rate.
