The NDP says the Ministry of Children and Family Development has blown 560-thousand dollars renovating its Victoria headquarters, nearly triple the original budget of 200-thousand.But Minister Tom Christensen says the scope of the project expanded from just a new boardroom to include some necessary office work as well, "It is not over budget, it is a project that provides the space necessary to enable the Ministry to host meetings with stakeholders, to provide training space that for a long time has not been available."Christensen admits there's never a good time to spend money on office upgrades. The Opposition says the money was wasted on a fancy office project instead of helping children in need.
DON QUIXOTE VS. CITY HALL When an American gets mad, he says "where's my Gun". When a Canadian gets pissed off he says "Where is my pen, I'm going to send a letter to the EDITOR". When the EDITOR won't publish his letter he sets up his own BLOG page. When I received enough support to get a Council Seat the dogma of the establishment became : "Better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside pissing in." (Only time will tell !)
