The City of Vernon is clarifying the location of a town hall meeting on a proposed $32 million civic complex. The meeting will take place in the auditorium at the Vernon Recreation Complex Thursday at 7 p.m. An error in a press release had the meeting previously scheduled for City Hall. On Jan. 26, residents will be asked to approve borrowing up to $30 million for a civic building. The complex, which would sit between city hall and the museum, would include a library, as well as city hall and RCMP offices and possibly an art gallery.“We want people to make informed decisions,” said Mayor Wayne Lippert.
