More Charges Pending

The lead investigator in "The Greeks" case says they are responsible for the remaining three unsolved murders in Vernon in an eleven month period. Sgt. Al Haslett says the paperwork is in the hands of Crown Counsel. Haslett says "The Greeks", who are in jail on four other murder charges are responsible for the Jeffrey Drake killing, and the two other unsolved murders in Vernon in an eleven month period - Belinda Scott and Stanley Pollock.The Crown decided to stay the charges against Eric Fish in the Jeffrey Drake case. Fish is serving a 25-year sentence after pleading guilty to the murder of 75-year-old Bill Abramenko.As for "the Greeks" trial moving to Vancouver, he admits it presents some challenges not having it in the Okanagan, but he says they are preparing for that now. The trial is expected to begin in September and last 6 to 12 months.
