GVSC to deny DCC Waiver to Vernon Native Housing Society at Tomorrow's meeting ?

  RECOMMENDATION:
  1. That staff be directed to collect the water Development Cost
  Charges for the Vernon Native Housing Society’s project at
  4305 – 19th Avenue;
  
• Vernon Native Housing Society – Parks DCC Fees
  6.2 Report from Al McNiven, Director of Parks, Recreation & Culture – January 30, 2008
  Recommendation:
  That the GVSC collect the DCC fees for parkland as outlined in
  the Development Cost Charge bylaw.

  Don Quixote Note: The City of Vernon has introduced a DCC amendment to waive the City's DCC fees for Roads and Sewer for this type of housing project. It will be interesting to see how the City's representatives debate and vote on this item.
  

There are 40 units in question and Water DCC rates are $2180 per unit with Park DCC's are $3644 per unit.
