Former Vernon mayor Sean Harvey is expected to be sentenced Tuesday. He is facing five counts of fraud and one count of forgery stemming from dealings with a former business partner.
His lawyer, Ian McTavish, says Harvey plans to plead guilty to two of the charges. He will seek a fine when the sentencing is held. Harvey resigned as Vernon’s mayor in 2005 after it was discovered he made personal purchases on a city credit card. He received a one year conditional sentence for breach of trust in 2006.
