It was one week ago Friday Vernon fired off a letter to the Minister of Community Services asking to withdraw from Greater Vernon Water. Community Services Minister Ida Chong says, the city should keep working on it. "Whenever Vernon asks about their service arrangements I do encourage them to work with their partners first and foremost. Then if they come back with some conclusions that are obvious and finite then I take a look at them." Chong says, immediate changes need to be thought about in terms of the long term.
