Oglow Has No Problem with Mayors Meeting

Starlee Speers Astral Media Radio, Vernon Apr 03

The Vice -Chair of the Okanagan governance task force says he has no problems with the four mayors holding a separate meeting with the Minister next week. Jerry Oglow says, the meeting will further the committees recommendations that more consultation is needed on the issue. One of the things that we have suggested to the Minister in our task force report is that there needs to be a stage two to the process. There needs to be more detail, more consultation." The task force report on governance was presented to Ida Chong last week. The mayors from the Okanagan's four largest municipalities go to Victoria next week.

Oglow thinks there should be a stage2! He has aLREADY BEEN ON THE "STAGE" AND DID POORLY-He seems to think that as long as he appears optimistic and states nothing of substance, that he is doing alright. He seems to forget that chair of Nord is supposed to be a "leader" He may be able to govern Armstrong that way,but we expect better for the north okanagan. Oglow-it is time for you to quit.
