Public Input re Budget on April 14

You can pick up your 45 page detailed 2008-2012 Financial Plan at City Hall but is available on City's website. ( the 2007-2011 has still not yet been posted )

Missing also is the section of the report called 'Treasurer's Comments' which has been the first 2-3 pages of all past Financial Plan.

In this section was detailed:

• the intended tax increase for the Municipal taxpayer,
• the fire tax increase for both the old city and the Okanagan Landing
• The Sewer tax increase
• Garbage and Recycling tax increases.
• A brief summery of the prior years major items that can an effect on the current plan.
• a list of the largest capital projects
  
• Any major changes to reserves such as RCMP, Affordable Housing or other unnamed reserves.

Perhaps this overview summary which is a more important document to the non bean counters in the general populace will be added shortly or given out at meeting. These are the details that will draw the public to a public input meeting and are important that they are available soon. Hopefully they will be posted on the City's website.
